The Carbon trust is a government initiative to help companies lower their greenhouse emissions. Around £100million has been earmarked to be used as loans for businesses to help them replace power-hungry equipment with more efficient items.
 
As of late February, Carbon Trust loans are now made available to replace I.T. equipment, including servers and workstations.
